Pros

I love my team members and the work is very interesting. New exciting energy technology coming down the pike! Working remote.

Cons

For the employees who don't hold certain viewpoints, I can only describe the past couple of years as disturbing and counterproductive. The CEO and her leaders have pushed their politics, views on vaccines, abortion, race, ESG and so on. It has been very inappropriate, but working remote has really helped offset the stress it caused. Ironically, all PSE employees have been told "we all have a voice". That is ultimately a total lie! Opposing views and comments are shut down at PSE. For example, we have mostly been working remote for 3 years and the leadership team has reassured us we would stay that way. We were told as long as we live in Washington - we could work remotely (only having to come in 1-2x a month for meetings). Based on that information, many of us moved well outside the very unaffordable King County area. A couple of weeks ago, the CEO sent out an email that we will all be required to come in 50% and PSE also put this on our intranet with a discussion forum. The story generated dozens of critical comments. After two days, the comments were all deleted and the comment feature was disabled. So, it really is a total lie that PSE employees all have a voice. In the past, the CEO also shut down comments on vaccines and abortion stories. The message here is "sit down and shut up, plebs!". To add insult to injury, the CEO sent out a BS email explaining that although she "hears us" , we need to return to collaborate to meet climate goals and because of "equity". That stinks to high heaven. Driving hours a day to and from work will NOT help the climate and we collaborate just fine at home. Also - three executives have left PSE in the past month. All of this seems fishy.
