Pros
Lots of freedom on what you can do on research. Very good colleagues. Stuff support are not super but okay.
Cons
not much for culture or fun activities in West Lafayette. About two hour drive to Chicago and one hour to Indianapolis. Hope the university was in either of these two cities. So you need 1.5 hour or more to get to an airport.
