Pros
As a good place for academic research work, Purdue is high standard and comfortable. The work time depends on the 'boss''s requirement but quite flexible. Colleagues are nice and collaborative. Pay is good according to low life expense in West Lafayette.
Cons
Far less opportunities for students to get involved into particular industrial practices in big companies than those in big cities, unless you are majoring in Agriculture or Mechanical/Manufacturing (CAT, Subaru, and ranches in town) .
