Pros

I've grown tremendously due to the experience I've gained as an Addiction Therapist at Pyramid Healthcare, Inc. It has allowed me to sharpen not only my interpersonal skills, but also my time-management skills, documentation skills, organization skills and crisis intervention skills. Working as an Addiction Therapist has provided me with skills that are transferrable to many other careers.

Cons

We have been severely understaffed for approximately one year, which has placed great strain on the remaining Addiction Therapists. However, I utilized this strain as a motivator. I feel as though I have become more able and polished to complete not only my responsibilities, but the responsibilities that would belong to another staff member that we currently do not have. My ability to multi-task, micro-manage and delegate on a daily basis have led to many self successes in my career.

Pros

Pyramid has been a great place to grow professionally. They genuinely support employees who want to further their education and develop their careers. It's an excellent place to gain hands-on experience in the behavioral health field, and there are real opportunities for advancement if you're willing to put in the work. Leadership is approachable, supportive, and willing to teach, making it a great environment for learning and professional growth.

Cons

The work can be fast-paced and stressful at times, but that's part of working in behavioral healthcare. Seeing clients make progress and knowing you're helping improve their quality of life makes it worthwhile

Pros

I genuinely enjoy the people I work with and the clients we serve. The work is meaningful, and it feels rewarding to make a positive impact on patients and their families. The environment is fast-paced, which keeps things engaging and provides opportunities to learn and grow. Leadership is supportive and approachable, and they do a good job of helping employees navigate challenges and providing guidance when needed. The team culture is collaborative, and coworkers are willing to help each other succeed.

Cons

The pace of the work can be demanding and stressful at times, especially during busy periods. While leadership is supportive, the workload and expectations can be challenging. Compensation could be more competitive given the fast pace, level of responsibility, and stress associated with the position.
