Pros

Great Co-workers, nice offices, great benefits, fun intro into the company

Cons

This job has been very difficult emotionally. The job has been plagued with ineffective managers and unclear goals. There was zero training after the NHO and the work, while not technically wrong, was polar opposite to what was advertised in the job posting. The work is confusing and frustrating, and managers are aloof and reactive. The beginning of the job showers you with promises of moving up, benefits, excites you to collab with co-workers, and even has a culture team! Despite that the work has been menial and frustrating with near-zero guidance and oversight. The job promised a lot and delivered very little leaving me and my co-workers stranded in a desert of no documentation, training, oversight, or manager interaction. I thought moving up could be a saving grace, but I was told to get a new position you must do the work of that position for free until promoted. This caused me to rethink my perceived value to Q2. There's zero space for promotion unless I train myself for free and do the work for free. It makes sense since there is no training for anyone, how could you effectively handle a new position unless you had already taught it to yourself for the company? Then you get the privilege of actually being paid for it. I don't think I should feel lucky to be paid for the free work I was doing based on my self-training. This would be easier if I bought into the Stockholm syndrome but I know the job market has better than this.

Pros

The people here are amazing. Q2 has been an incredible place to work. From day one, I felt welcomed by a team that genuinely cares about helping one another succeed. The culture is collaborative, supportive, and centered around doing what’s right for both employees and customers. Leadership communicates a clear vision, and there’s a strong sense of purpose in helping financial institutions better serve their communities. The company also provides excellent opportunities for learning and professional growth. Hard work is recognized, managers are invested in employee development, and there’s an emphasis on maintaining a healthy work-life balance. The benefits are competitive, and Q2 continues to invest in its people and technology. Overall, it’s a company where you can build a meaningful career while working with genuinely great people.

Cons

None right now to mention.

Pros

I love working at Q2. My personal experience has been very positive. I've had the privilege of being on multiple teams in various departments during my time here and I have had excellent experiences with my managers, leadership, and coworkers.

Cons

The return to office policy is very rigid. I would like to see them adopt a "commute time" policy rather than miles. 50 miles is not equal drive time in Austin vs somewhere like Nebraska. We've lost many excellent coworkers due to this policy. All that institutional knowledge, right out the door in favor of sticking to company policy.
