• Initial promises of competitive pay • Some people that are very knowledgeable and work hard
Cons
• 80% of D-level and up leadership needs to be replaced • Teams constistently understaffed • High turnover rate (like rats fleeing a sinking ship) • Empty promises of good (and much needed) things to come that string employees and departments along for years at a time • Abysmal employee morale • Endless beaurocratic red tape • Company is actively pursuing their goal of moving as many jobs as possible from the US to the offshore center in the Philippines • Inpenetrable D-C suite "boys' club" at NYC HQ. If you're not "in", as in the ones high-fiving each other at the watercooler about the party bus and box seats to the most exclusive events of the year they bought over the weekend on the company's dime, you're disposable and not going to be included in necessary communication or company involvement. • Those same D-C suites are also generally immune from consequences. I've seen them fire project managers, consultants, and lowly analysts without so much as a warning to use as scapegoats for their own mistakes. One long-term consultant whom I'd worked with for years fell victim to this and was booted at only a day's notice and was never paid the $30k in overtime that they had already worked; all because some D-suite messed up and needed someone disposable to take the fall for their mistakes in a position they very obviously didn't have the qualifications to be in. This is a multinational company with the organization of a lemonade stand. Myself, along with so many of my colleagues, are looking for positions elsewhere.
