Pros

Data Center design and engineering are taken very seriously. They have a portal that provides an extreme level of detail for customers. Very prudent with site selection and buildout. Facilities are first class. QTS takes its data center design and engineering very seriously and is all in.

Cons

SALES MANAGEMENT!! Executive management tries to rule by fear. Philosophy is to tell everyone that they are not doing their jobs and threatening to fire everyone. 5 hour conf calls every few days to listen to management berate every individual region over every pipeline deal while the rest of the participants await their turn to be publicly criticized. Poor time management. Toxic culture. Unnecessary stress factor. Classic signs of narcissistic behavior stemming from insecurity. Also, cult-like pressure from management to write glowing reviews on Glassdoor and repost on your LinkedIn profile (and they monitor that stuff!!) Advice to sales - Keep an updated resume and accept invitations to meet w recruiters.

Thank you for your compliments of the teams within engineering and operations. We take great pride in delivering the best solutions for our customers. I appreciate the candid feedback on the sales culture from your perspective. As someone who does not particularly enjoy long meetings, and even 1 hour could qualify as such, I agree that 5 hours would be too long. I’m not aware of any meetings that last this long but will keep an eye out to make sure these are not occurring. We actually encourage posts to Glassdoor of any kind and you are a great example that proves people are free to post whatever they feel portrays their experience. Good or bad, we will read, reflect and attempt to learn. LinkedIn is a great vehicle for any corporation to market with and we do encourage QTSers to be active on the site. It’s not required and no one has ever pointed someone out to me that is utilizing the site either too little or too much. Again, your comments were noticed and we appreciate both the positive and negative viewpoints. We will certainly work towards ensuring that all of our employees feel welcome and respected and perhaps gain your trust again. Thank you. Clint Heiden CRO

Pros

The company has continued to find new ways to increase retention. Have a great team and feel supported by management. Just added a new equity program along with already existing stock purchase program.

Cons

Limited amount of work from home days allocated per employee. No car bonus or reimbursement for tolls on commute to work.

We appreciate the review! It's encouraging to hear you're excited about our new equity program, "Together We Grow." When QTS is successful, everyone is successful! QTS recognizes that work flexibility is important and employees are encouraged to utilize all 52 work-from-home days every year. This does not include days when the unexpected occurs, like picking up a sick child from school, running home to take care of an immediate need, falling ill, etc. Thank you for your feedback and contributions to QTS!

Pros

Servant Leadership - Folks will lean in to help you resolve issues. Fluid workflow - There are opportunities to work with other workgroups when you have spare capacity to grow your knowledge/experience into other areas. Rampant Growth - Industry as a whole is expanding very fast. Giving new opportunities for movement Environmental stewards - Leader in sustainable data centers with closed loop cooling. Community driven - Constantly have volunteer opportunities available and actively looking for more Teamwork - From at work, to at home; Your coworkers, managers, and executives actually care about you. They want to know who you are and are genuine in their interactions. CEO's will actively strive to learn your name... so it still has the small company vibe, but it is getting bigger fast.

Cons

Growing pains - Rapid growth and expansion have left some policies in need of polishing/creating. With the rapid growth there is upward mobility that leaves production vacuums behind. Good/Bad - the expansion doesn't appear to be slowing down anytime soon.
