Pros

Company meetings are in international locations Products can do some amazing things if pitching to the right audience Not much micro-management (my experience)

Cons

Management preaches a big family, yet fires managers at Christmas Parties, or the day before they are to leave for the company trip for a week... very inconsistent. Also the replacements to the fired individuals show up the next day, so it is all planned. Management has no (BI) industry experience except for this company, and it shows. The product was leading edge 5 years ago, and now others have caught up. Qliktech had a chance to be a major player, but it is over now. There was a buzz about an IPO, but who knows when/if that will happen. They claim other competitors being bought is a victory for them, but the reality is they got passed over and now the competition is stronger than ever. There are worse things than being bought or even going under... they are dying a slow death. From a career perspective, knowing Qlikview won't get you far outside of Qliktech. Working for BOBJ/MSTR/Cognos wil provide you with better skills while earning more money. When the end comes for Qliktech, you will wish you'd been someplace else.

Pros

The people you meet at Qlik are one of a kind. Truly amazing, dedicated, supportive people. Whether that be the Demand Center leadership, your peers, or the sales managers. The culture here is phenomenal!

Cons

Too many changes, every year or sometimes even couple of months, you have new managers and a new territory. It’s hard to get a handle of it coming from one industry and training to another. The pay is low compared to other SDR/BDR roles in the industry. No fault to the managers on the BDR team, but the senior leadership tends to care more about activity volume on top of quota. You could hit your quota by 110% and they’ll still ask you to get 100s of calls in a day. The company has also lost the plot on product. Qlik Sense is an amazing analytics tool. If they doubled down on their analytics and made it truly in the cloud and low code/no code, they’d have better results.
