Pros
Both Qlik and Talend have established products with brand recognition. Promotion is possible as many quality people are leaving the company and creating vacancies.
Cons
Thoma Bravo and Qlik senior leadership have decided to boost their value as much as possible to sell us to another company. That means quoting existing customers exorbitant uplifts with no notice or time to find a more affordable alternative. These customers will spend 2024 looking for new vendors. This is no longer a customer-centric company but one that will take advantage of anyone to increase EBITDA. After the sale, upper management will receive huge payouts but those of us who are left will hold the bag for disgruntled customers bound to churn. Both the Qlik and Talend products are well known in their respective categories but lack of innovation has caused them to be viewed by our customers as legacy tools that are being replaced with newer technology. Management is very much a Good Old Boys' Club with very little diversity of any kind. Women should not apply - you will not be valued. Even if you are hired, you will be ignored or made the scapegoat as male favoritism rules the day. Tactics from the top down include more of a stick than a carrot approach where knee-jerk reactions are commonplace but strategic long-term thinking is absent. I would not recommend working here until we are sold to a company with a more modern management style and an innovative product roadmap.
