Much of the process equipment is very old and can be unreliable. In general, a lot of equipment is run-down, for example chairs that are broken but still in service. IT support at this company is not "world class". You can submit a service ticket and never see it closed. Much of the in-house-developed software lacks excellence in both design and function. Software system changes are often enacted without communication to impacted users, with no regard for or understanding of the potential impact; unthinkable at many other companies.
