Pros
Flexible schedule, movement within different groups is relatively easy. Pretty of smart people to work with. Matrix management.
Cons
Contributions may not be fairly recognized, depends on manager's impression to a large extent especially in large groups. People who take it easy can be promoted earlier and get better bonuses vs others who work > 9 hours depending on group.
