Pros
This is a unique, privately held company and was pretty fantastic in my experience. I've worked at many large corporate, publicly traded companies and very small private held company's and out of all, QCL absolutely is the best I've worked for, hands down. They take a mature attitude with managing their employees and do not micro manage. They did a great job at managing projects so that the work load was very manageable. Other companies in my experience pushed their employees to the brink of anxiety attacks due to being under staffed and over worked, but they go paid well. No thanks! It's all about making the bottom line, profit and turn around for these larger companies. As far as I could tell QCL went over and beyond to make sure their hard working, dedicated employees were well taken care of. Those that were initially hired at a low entry level salary base, having zero experience, did nothing but complain and felt entitled to be paid as much as their competitors in the triangle area or other higher paying areas, with zero experience will not be happy working here or anywhere for that matter. Feeling entitled gets you NOWHERE at QCL that's for sure. Show them what you can do and you'll go far. Word of advise if you are considering working here, act mature, work hard, prove yourself, don't worry about what others are making or doing, focus on YOU, be humble and kind. You do that and you'll succeed here.
Cons
Wilmington in General has a high cost of living. That is the price you pay for living a laid back lifestyle at the beach. If you want to make 6 figures, with no experience and a bad attitude, QCL is not the place for you. Good Luck!
