Pros
There are some great, very talented people that work here. There are a lot of people that genuinely care about their work and some plants have a family environment. There are a lot of people that have decades of experience.
Cons
In the division I was in there has been a lot of management turnover causing lots of different directions. The division I used to be in was a very flat organization where management wasn't too far detached from the workers, that isn't the case anymore. There are layers of managers and directors insulating the executives. There is rampant speculation and rumors about the future of the division and what Quanex corporate (basically a holding company) will do with it. No leadership vision being communicated out directly to the employees. All information from the leadership is cascaded down which causes inconsistent messaging.
