Pros
High degree of autonomy. Some good products. Market leader in some areas. Great tech and customer service support
Cons
Used to be a great company. Has become purely shareholder value drive organization with complete focus on cost control and productivity. Visionless executive management with total quarter-to-quarter focus. Zero investment in innovation and new products and unimaginative, stale marketing. Management idea of innovation are share buyback programs, not product or market development. Sales management is highly centralized with a "command and control" structure, very much a good ol' boy network. Feedback, dialog and discussion are not asked for nor valued. Promotions/hiring based on who not what you know. Sales bonus on year-end basis based on financial performance of four BU's. One poor performing BU can ruin bonus, ongoing struggling vinyl division makes hitting max bonus next to impossible. Bonuses are a financial game mainly determined by bean counters with no understanding of sales realities.
