Pros

People-First: Have a family? We get it, go pick your kids up. Running behind this morning? We know how that goes, see you in a few. Goal-Oriented: Every quarter, you can expect to carve out a few goals with your boss. You get a hand in crafting them so it's not just busy, mind-numbing work to check a box. Mission-Focused: At Quavo, we're all on the same team but that doesn't mean we always do the same thing. As work is scheduled, be it for our clients or for our own internal tools, we build out a mission-focused team with the necessary skills. That team handles the mission their way. Complete your mission and you can look forward to another adventure - a new client, a new team, a new challenge. Travel: While most employees shouldn't expect to hit the skies regularly, kickoff events with new clients often involve in-person meetings so we can develop relationships face-to-face. We've been all over the country and even international. From time to time, we even travel for team-building events or just to get together and grab a drink. Geographic Freedom: Our employees are spread out across the US and often work on-the-go. We do have a couple offices in East Lansing, Michigan and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Although the freedom to work remote is a great privilege, our fun and supportive office culture is not to be missed if you're near one! Room for Growth and Mastery: Because we build our software with Pega, we're a little different than your average software shop. For our future, we value aptitude every bit as much as experience because we do a lot of in-house talent development. It can be an intimidating idea to commit to a toolset that you won't find in a college classroom, but unlike a lot of modern tools, the path to mastery is more concrete and we have a plan to get you there. In fact, we all have mentors so that we can help each other grow or just to get a second opinion when we're stuck.

Cons

If you really enjoy playing with a wide array of technologies and languages, you may find yourself unable to scratch that particular itch here. Because the organization is so geographically diverse, it can make for a more disconnected team setting. Remote teams are always a mixed bag of experiences: benefits and frustrations. Fairly new and still growing - I honestly enjoy this a great deal, but startup cultures aren't for everyone. Our culture and team are growing fairly rapidly, which means a lot of change and some degree of uncertainty. There's not a lot of diversity at the moment, but the rapid growth makes me hopeful that we'll see that shift in the near future.

Pros

Great work-life balance, collaborative team, supportive and down-to-earth leadership and positive culture.

Cons

If you prefer working in an office, the remote environment can feel a little isolating at times. As a growing company, some processes are still being developed and refined.
