Pros
Unfortunately it is the pay. The only reason I stay.
Cons
Management doesn’t seem to understand the bedside ramifications of their decisions. We were overstaffed with FEMA nurses so they cut them loose. We were then severely understaffed almost immediately. It seems that they were willing to risk it assuming they could guilt the staff into working overtime. Management of Covid infected employees was atrocious. We had a cluster of Covid infections and there was no contact tracing done. I only heard about it through the grapevine. We also had a patient whose roommate tested positive for Covid. That patient shared the room for several days. The patient was then moved to another room and given another roommate. The patient was not tested. The patient became symptomatic after several days and was finally tested when the nurse pushed to have the patient tested. No apologies from management and no Covid testing for staff taking care of that patient.
