Pros
Work life balance is great. Put your 40 hours in, walk out the door and don’t look back. It’s a 40 hr a week kinda job. There is technically room for advancement. Co-workers are friendly, clients are nice. Generally a good environment to work in.
Cons
Too many to say. You will learn first hand. (It is what you make of it). Pay is below market rate, performance is not always financially rewarded. Policies are not generally aligned with employees best interests. The company pinches every penny they can from whomever they can. Work is based off of contracts so, no contract, you can get put on furlough (if your performance isn’t bare minimum acceptable) and then they’ll let you go. You only get PTO, no sick days, and you should ask for 4 weeks minimum when you start. Do not settle for 3 weeks if that’s what is offered to you, negotiate upfront.
