Pros

Culture of excellent customer service. Most staff are competent and motivated. Teamwork and goodwill are generally pretty good.

Cons

Technical training is nonexistent. The hospital product was cutting edge a decade ago, but has been allowed to stagnate and is now outdated, though existing customers love it. The solution chosen to modernize it was to outsource development. Even so, probably too late to save market share. Big competitors are eating our lunch. Little recognition for achievements unless you are one of the elect.

Pros

Pay is higher than most in the area. Hours are good. Benefits are good.

Cons

It’s very difficult to get time off for anything, regardless of how much vacation time you have. Only 15% of those hours will carry over and you lose what you’ve worked for and weren’t able to use. Not enough floats to cover the territory so people can actually get time off. Pay raises aren’t very good.
