Pros
The benefits are really good, which makes this a very hard company to leave. My management is understanding and generally good people. Work life balance is good because they don't expect you to work more than your 40 hours. There are always opportunities to grow.
Cons
The company makes it hard to do your job, so many hurdles and steps to do something easy. The health insurance costs keep going up and the amount you owe does too, which is disappointing in such a large company. Genetic counselors are not well respected as medical professionals, value MDs more. Feels very male dominant heavy at times. They assign you more work than you can do and expect you to do everything because no one is invested to help or improve things. You get beat down by the systems.
