Pros

Good salary and benefits. I mostly had good managers, some better than others, but none that I thought were visionary or particularly inspiring. Most of my coworkers were above average to very good at their jobs.

Cons

For most of my time at Quest, revenue was declining. So there significant WFRs every year or two. This meant that some of the most talented people left of their own accord. I always got the impression that the folks in upper management were bean counters and never really understood the market or bigger picture of selling commercial software.

Pros

The new ELT has been making a lot of changes to shift Quest to newer products, focus, and GTM strategies. This has been much needed, and the future looks much brighter. Regardless of the changes, the culture of respect and inclusivity and people-support has remained. I would refer Quest as an employer, especially the Legal department, to anyone I know.

Cons

As with any period of changes and redirected focus, there has been some turmoil in reductions, tool/platform changes, etc. This would be a tough environment for anyone who has trouble adapting.
