Pros

Casual work environment free coffee, tea and fruit

Cons

They do not promote within. Applying for jobs via the internal Quest website is of zero use since the recruiters are only incentivized to hire "non quest" employees (and yes apparently that includes contract workers). So the recruiters simply throw your application away if your applying via the internal site. It's very frustrating and took me six months to figure this out after applying for a job several times before going directly to the hiring managers of which they had no clue about my interest or ever seen my resume.

Pros

Quest Software is a great place to work. The people are genuinely good people, very knowledgeable, and always willing to help. Quest is a strong environment if you enjoy solving complex technical problems, working with experienced teams, and helping customers address real business and security challenges. The company has a deep portfolio, talented employees, and many opportunities to collaborate across sales, presales, product management, engineering, and customer-facing teams. I also appreciate the flexibility, the trust given to senior employees, and the ability to contribute strategically beyond a narrow job description.

Cons

Like many large technology organizations, processes can sometimes be complex, and internal alignment across teams may take time. There are also opportunities to improve enablement, communication, and consistency around product packaging, roadmap visibility, and internal workflows.
