Pros

Solid products with great reputations and dedicated users Culture of inclusiveness, latitude for decision-making

Cons

Dell's purchase (and subsequent sale) of Quest was a disaster. Dell does not know how to be a software company. Hopefully Quest will now be able to renew its former glory

Thank you for your very positive and insightful comments. Your "advice to management" comment reminds me of some of my favorite lines from the movie Bull Durham about baseball. "...you hit the ball, you catch the ball." You're right - the primary imperative of any software company is to understand the products, their customers and what they need! Pros

The new ELT has been making a lot of changes to shift Quest to newer products, focus, and GTM strategies. This has been much needed, and the future looks much brighter. Regardless of the changes, the culture of respect and inclusivity and people-support has remained. I would refer Quest as an employer, especially the Legal department, to anyone I know.

Cons

As with any period of changes and redirected focus, there has been some turmoil in reductions, tool/platform changes, etc. This would be a tough environment for anyone who has trouble adapting.
