Pros

There are still very hard-working employees who are totally committed to Quest.

Cons

Unfortunately, those hard-working employees are being totally ignored due to constant profit seeking management and leadership team. All you hear in every call and every company decision is how to make profit for the company. Quest is where I learned about EBITDA! Thank you, but no thank you! There has been no talks of raise, no training, nothing about employee development - the only thing management cares about is making money for the investors!

There are so many factual errors in your posting that I feel compelled to address some of them. No talk of raises? in the last twelve months, Quest has done both market specific targeted increases to ensure that our employees are paid at market value as well as a general compensation review with a generous merit budget. We've also established a company wide bonus plan that shares Quest's success with employees which recently made a solid mid year payout. We will continue to invest in compensation until the inequities that resulted from prior ownership are repaired. Given that it's only been one year since the divestiture, I think Quest has made significant efforts in this area. Profitability? EBITDA is not a four letter word. It's the vehicle that every company uses to fund things like raises, training, employee development, and equally as important, investments in our products and services to remain relevant to our customers. We place a high degree of value on communication with our employees and we spend a significant portion of every all hands call reviewing our progress toward EBITDA, which is the benchmark for our company bonus plan. It allows employees to understand how they contribute to and share in the success of Quest. It's not unusual for a company that has been divested to take some time to reinvent itself. The last twelve months have been about that reinvestment and our company strategy continues to evolve. But there is near constant communication about our vision, strategy and values at the business unit and company level. I think it would be pretty tough for any employee to claim that they are in the dark about Quest's direction. Good luck in your new role. LuAnn CHRO

Pros

Quest Software is a great place to work. The people are genuinely good people, very knowledgeable, and always willing to help. Quest is a strong environment if you enjoy solving complex technical problems, working with experienced teams, and helping customers address real business and security challenges. The company has a deep portfolio, talented employees, and many opportunities to collaborate across sales, presales, product management, engineering, and customer-facing teams. I also appreciate the flexibility, the trust given to senior employees, and the ability to contribute strategically beyond a narrow job description.

Cons

Like many large technology organizations, processes can sometimes be complex, and internal alignment across teams may take time. There are also opportunities to improve enablement, communication, and consistency around product packaging, roadmap visibility, and internal workflows.
