Pros
1. Very clean - We do upkeeps on the store about every 30 minutes to an hour which keeps the store looking good. We also make sure we wash our hands and glove up before handling any sort of consumable that is not packaged.) 2. Community Love - The community always comments on how clean the store is, how high quality we are, and how great our deals are. 3. Free Drinks - We get free fountain drinks as well as coffee drinks while on the clock. 4. Time Relativity - Time passes by pretty quickly while on the job, mostly because of how rushed you are and wishing that time would slow down, but it's still nice in its own way. 5. Chances for Advancement - If you're looking to make a career with the QT, then you have a good chance. There are many opportunities to move up and make good money.
Cons
1. Rushed to the Max - Everything has to be done in very short time limits such as emptying about 30 trash cans in 35 minutes. 2. Short and Insufficient Training - Quiktrip has many different avenues of profit other than gas and the clerks have to learn everything and you don't learn anywhere near all of it in training. Once you start your Quikstart you'll be told a million different ways to do a certain task faster by a million different people (manager, 1a, 2a, etc., etc.) some of which contradict each other. 3. No Real Benefits for Part-Time - They talk big in orientation about bonuses and pay increases and the such, but most do not apply to part-timers (though a few do.) 4. No breaks - You will literally be on your feet running around the entire time you are not on the register. 5. Not Much Money for the Work - Their $8.25 they start clerks at is more than deserved. The work is worth well over what we're paid. Unless you're looking for a career in management (which if that's what you're looking for than the QT is a good fit for you as you can move up quite easily) then you're not getting your money's worth in work. You would be better off taking a job at minimum wage in a less stressful job especially if you're a student like many part-timers are. So, in review, if you're looking to make a career, then the QT is great, but if you just need a little extra cash while you're in school, then I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere.
