Pros

Profit sharing, additional paid vacation days option, tow-op/ partial (allow you to leave early provided shift coverage), standard to premium 401k and medical benefits. QuikTrip is the first company I've worked for that actually lives up to their core values. I feel like I've given them 110% and they've done very well to match. Their open door policy has allowed me to develop a sense of expectation amongst management, and as a result, there's no confusion as to what I need to do to succeed. I can honestly see myself working for no other company in PHX but QT.

Cons

There's a definite attitude and temperament they look for in people. You have to have a strong work ethic and be willing to see a job through to the end. If you bring the wrong attitude; if you feel the company is set in place to work for you, you're going to find your position rather stagnant. Most employees (especially the upper management) started at the most entry level positions. Everyone is given the opportunity to climb the ladder and better their understanding of operations. In light of this fact, I've seen many people work to a certain level and curtail. I get the impression that they feel they're deserving of more, or that company expectations are too high. I've been promoted twice within a 8 month period. Although rare in some districts, I found avoiding words and phrases like "no" or "I need to leave", and "how can I help", "where do you need me" to be most optimal towards promotion. I might be waiting years for my ideal position to open up, but it doesn't mean I'm limited to just my job. There are plenty of opportunities provided. Really the only con is what you make.

Pros

For part-time flexible hours and if you're a student you can get tuition reimbursement (If you work +13 hours and payed for your tuition). Also, good bounce as you work more hours. And once you stay long enough you can get health insurance and vacation days paid (you can get these benefits has a full time, but if you're and in high school and going to college after this would be better to keep flexible hours and later on get the perks),

Cons

At first, they give you a lot of information and even as you work with the company, there will be new things to learn. Bad thing about that is that store managers can get mad because other managers haven't explained to the clerks. So, it can be frustrating, this job is also a lot of talking so if your shy then that would be a problem.
