Pros
-there is no weekly hours limit, you can work as much as your body will let you which is how you could potentially earn 100k+ as an hourly employee -it’s very difficult to be fired -if you’re a favorite, you get awesome treatment, easy routes, consistent businesses that you can establish a relationship with -if you’re trying to get on your feet, clean up your driving record, for whatever reason you’re “less employable” this is a good place to get up and running again
Cons
-“top pay” is company top, not industry. On average you’re making $4-6 less an hour than any competitor -you have to provide your own equipment like pallet jacks and dolly’s -“rent to own” your own equipment on an interest free loan through the company is very much a scam, even though it’s advertised as “but you get to own it” -if you rent to own it thru the company (average $26 a week), they do the maintenance “for free” but turnaround time for maintenance is two weeks or more and their is no reimbursement for your jack being out of service -they rarely have loaner electrics available -you pay for health insurance whether it’s just you or a family plan -you start at top pay but raises are seniority based until you’ve been there for more than 2-3 years
