Pros
None that I know of.
Cons
The company's growth is marred by the stale thought process of the old foxes who have been running the company for 20 odd years. People have been here since they were programmers and are now Sr PMs and VPs. External managers are not hired and the top possitions are firmly in the grasps of oldies who are well settled with heavy paychecks. The company expects that managers should not quit and should retire from the company when the ime comes. 21 years is a huge time period and companies reach greatness in that time. But in case of R Systems the only thing that has grown is the manager's bank balances and properties. Company is struggling to hold onto its base projects and the three main pillars OSI, TMAR and Nokia Siemens are almost gone. Now they are surviving on 'CHILLAR' projects for name sake. Global Logic, which till some time ago was right opposite R Systems, has grown tremendously in last 10-15 years and R Systems is way behind it. The best thing that happened with them was the acquisitions by a US company. Their processes changed and focus shifted towards their own work force instead of the managers. The result is there for everyone to see. As an employee this could be the best thing that could happen to R Systems. This will ensure that the old blood thirsty sharks are kicked out and focus is brought back on the running the company like a corporate is run instead of running it like a family business. And yes, please stop fabricating the employee satisfaction survey results.None that I know in the company is happy with salary, work and as atmosphere.
