Pros

I loved my job at RAM Mounts. I worked on the marketing team as a graphic designer for three years, and during my tenure, I was fortunate enough to work with a group of really great people. Everyone on the marketing team embraced their role and worked passionately at their jobs. Great morale. The marketing team would often go to lunch together (10 people or so). As part of the marketing team, I felt like I was making an impact on the company, daily. With record profits year over year, I couldn't help but feel pride in my work. Feedback was given often from my superiors. In my role, I was able to move up to a leadership position. I was able to train, mentor, and develop a team of designers, which was extremely rewarding. Workplace & Culture The Director of Marketing has worked closely with the CFO and CEO to make RAM more of a modern workplace. Employees are allowed to work from home a few days per week. There is a Starbucks barista machine in the kitchen (it's a machine where you program in your drink, and it'll make it for you...this is NOT a Keurig), along with free healthy snacks and cold beverages (la Croix, soda) in the fridge. The benefits package was very generous. Great strides have been made in regards to women being able to take paid time off for maternity leave. Dress code is Seattle business casual. On the design team, we were allowed to wear nice jeans and a t-shirt and nice shoes. As long as you don't show up looking like a slob you're good to go. I felt respected at RAM. The CEO and CFO have offices right next to the rest of the marketing team, so we were able to interact with them daily. Jeff Carnivali, the CEO, is a very driven person. You can tell he has great pride in his company. This passion comes through daily in his interactions with the team. The sales & customer service team are excellent. When I first started at the company, sales & marketing felt like two different companies because we would barely interact. Now though, we continually work together to achieve goals, and it feels much more synergetic (word?). To sum up, RAM Mounts is a great place to work. I'm very grateful to RAM Mounts for employing me for three years and all the opportunities my time there has given me. Great computer equipment. Comfortable chairs & standing desks Wonderful office Small company feel True pride in work Make an impact daily Ability to grow in role (upward mobility) Job is challenging at times so you have the opportunity to grow great people modern workplace

Cons

Can't compete with salaries of agencies or larger companies located in downtown Seattle. There isn't a break room/lunch room to take a genuine break from one's workspace. While there are plenty of restaurants around, sometimes one needs to unplug in peace. People achieve this by spending their lunch in their car.
