Pros
Interesting work Fast paced Exposure to different types of work Cambridge is a nice town
Cons
Turnover is high probs because salaries are low and work is stressful. But in the 2 years I was there, I noticed especially that the employees from non-white ethnicities didn't last very long and theres already so few of them. Most are at junior levels, and I could see colleagues being overworked and underappreciated. There's no real effort for inclusion. Research Assistants are postgraduate level often with work experience but only get 22k per year and half of their work is arranging chairs for meetings, taking calls for reception, running errands. Even analysts only get max 27k and it's way too much work with no bonuses or other incentives. Classic American work culture.
