Customers can't get through the billing customer service line because it is always busy. So, they call our front desk as if they are trying to make an appointment and they get handed over to me when they dispute our standard double billing processes. Our company pushes both receiving the insurance company contracted rate, which is less than what we want to receive, and then we try to collect the full bill amount with the customer. Thus, the reason for high-turnover and a thankless job where customers yell at you and complain... But, it is a job, so this is what I have to deal with currently.
