Pros
Lots of experience for new fresh out of school Engineers. seeing how manufacturing has evolved, realizing why its being outsourced overseas building a bond with older operators is key to a prosperous life as an engineer real life struggles go beyond career and shapes an engineer's personality
Cons
very little engineering, more like running a sweat shop with out of date process of management. huge gap in generation age. This job is more of a steeping stone into the next job. spend about a year and get out for better pay which can be attained anywhere really. overtime is expected and there is little flexibility since engineers need to be on site during operating hours. "free tuition reimbursement" I've seen people get rejected and told to wait another year simply because they were never clear on their contract non exisiting 401k match
