Pros
The hours are flexible in that you are given a 4 day window to complete assignments within the store you are assigned to, get it done before the deadline.
Cons
For open stores where you can just cruise and scan 2000 items in a few hours, you get 0.02 per item scanned. There's partial pennies after the 2, but it translates to about $80 for 2500 approx. items scanned in an open store. The real money is in the Lapel stores, places that don't openly work with Retail data, those items are around 0.06 per item scanned, but that means you have to pretend to shop while somehow gathering scans, not looking like a shoplifter, and regularly getting kicked out of stores cause they don't like you being in there. Working two locations, one open and one lapel, breaking 30 hours worked including drive time and my pay ended up being $9.57/hr.
