Pros
I started at REI Systems as an intern developer, after 2 years I realized development isn't something I want to pursue, I was given an opportunity to change my career. They acknowledge the talented people and don't let them go easily. Networking within the 4 Business units helps a person to actually get interesting projects. Some people are passionate, lot of interns from colleges.
Cons
1. Career growth is stagnant after a point 2. Promotions are delayed 3. People who want to change career will not be given promotion until they prove themselves all over again, it kind of moves them back to square one 4. Lack of people's managers, abundant book managers who go by the books 5. Lack of personal interactions with top management 6. Bonus is a joke, sometimes you don't even get it if you are an associate and they have some funding problems 7. Lot of unexpected movement due to federal projects funds freeze 8. You are expected to acquire skills on faster pace as they jump you across different projects.
