Pros
- Performance-based pay that increases after every event in which you meet certain criteria - Fellow employees are generally friendly, empathetic and encouraging - Blackstone Marketplace membership after a few weeks of employment, which provides great savings potential in many stores
Cons
- Irresponsible, disorganized, and blatantly unqualified management - Next to zero work/life balance (getting called in on every day off, being asked to drive two hours away from home to work for four hours, refusing to provide substitute event locations for those that are too far away) - Boring, back-breaking, and extremely repetitive work - Employees are treated like tools - Management often sits around idly during events - Breaks are rare and unsatisfying (i.e., having to walk up three flights of stairs in an attempt to eat lunch in 15 minutes, not counting walking back) - Your speed at inventory scanning is, undeniably, all they care about
