Pros
The people on the ground (actually providing services and support to clients) are caring, supportive and wonderful people who I feel honored to work with and who are the main drive to stay here. The people being served are also amazing. The vision of the company is wonderful...
Cons
The pay is sad (and there are no raises and no path to promotions of any kind), the health "insurance" is insultingly poor (high deductible "catastrophic" type insurance is the only option), and the double-speak and hypocrisy of upper management is straight-up sickening. They will tell you (see the website!) the organization is into recovery and self-awareness ... but then you see that management is top-down and very hierarchichal, employee feedback is not appreciated, and that the programs/curricula lack substance and a level of professionalism. There is a stubborn refusal to improve upon materials once they are produced, or to incorporate the realities of the people being served when bringing programs to a new community. Books and course materials often read like grade-schoolers wrote them (spelling errors and erroneous or irrelevant information galore.)
