Pros

A paycheck monthly $900 net.

Cons

The abuse that the management had of not spending the funds appropriately to get the homeless people into the county behavioral health system, and the management allowed the homeless people to sit in those front chairs for a year or 2, and they never hired anyone. Such as a psychiatrist or a therapist, to get there to that part of riverside at seven a m when the homeless showed up for their oatmeal. I asked, what are we doing here? We're taxing the rich, and all we're doing is feeding these homeless people. The grant was written that for them to get into the clinic, to see a psychiatrist to see if they qualify for housing. The amount of work that one peer support specialist had to do was astounding, and they didn't keep it pure, because we were asked to assess to look at them to see if they looked like they had a mental illness. That is not keeping it peer. And I have a master's degree in business administration. I was way overqualified for the role and I was doing way too much, and after my mom died, I took three days off, I came back & was fired. I am so glad I was fired. My coworkers were okay, but the management they just mismanaged the funds they don't use the funds to really get the homeless people into the mental health clinic. Stay away from this company.

Pros

Schedule, pay, and most of the teammates are good to work with. Can do what you want if you show up for work or even if you don't. Get to really help someone and have an impact on their life every now and then.

Cons

Bad leadership from the top down. No enforcement of policies and procedures other than the RI way which means almost no one gets turned away no matter how problematic they may be. Employees not held accountable for being late, missing work, not doing there job, etc. No room for advancement that's worth it. Most clients view it as a shelter.
