Prepare to be used and thrown away - Systems Administrator RIT (Rochester Institute of Technology) Employee Review

Pros

RIT gives you decent vacation time.

Cons

Budgets are continually cut and underfunded. RIT counts on the fact that faculty and staff do not want to fail the students. Thus, budgets can be underfunded and employees will just work harder to keep from failing the students. This only carries so far. Once you start to burnout, you will be discarded. Raises get skipped or minimized for any excuse. Benefits keep getting cut. Money is spent on vanity projects for administration and the board of trustees. RIT claims to value diversity but tends to retaliate against any women or PoC who report problems.
