Pros

I've learned more in the last 3 years at WSHA than I have in my 10+ years of experience elsewhere. While I was a little overwhelmed at first, I quickly realized that if you take advantage of the opportunity, you can significantly grow your knowledge base. Most roles are not pigeon-holed like they are at other companies; you have the ability to interact with many departments and many different levels of employees and management. Upper management is very transparent, so I feel much more connected to the day-to-day as well as the long-term strategy. And it's cool to see how I fit into the bigger picture. Do we work hard here? Heck yeah. But we love what we do. The employees that succeed here are the ones who can see the bigger picture and what an awesome opportunity working here can be.

Cons

Be ready to roll up your sleeves and get to work. Slackers and layabouts don’t last long. If that scares you off, you’re not cut out for it in the first place.

Passionate, mission-driven colleagues across the organization. Opportunity to shape how we support healthcare systems at a critical time. Growing commitment to aligning with customer realities and reducing complexity.

Cons

Pace of change is high and can create ambiguity at times. Processes, internal alignment, and ways of working are still evolving. Requires proactive communication and ownership to navigate effectively.

Pros

The people I worked directly with were supportive and talented, and there were opportunities to learn if you were proactive.

Cons

Leadership frequently shifted priorities, making it difficult to execute long-term strategies or feel like work had a lasting impact. Communication around organizational changes often lacked transparency, which created uncertainty and hurt morale. The marketing organization felt under-resourced relative to expectations, and employees were expected to do more with less. Career growth and compensation did not feel competitive with the market, and recognition for strong work was inconsistent. If you’re looking for a stable environment with clear direction and long-term investment in employees, look elsewhere.

Our goal is to create an environment where everyone feels valued and supported. Our newer Career Elevation Strategy gives global team members visibility into career progression, and even more recently, we are working on a rewards strategy as part of that effort.
