Here at RLS, we strive to live our lives and conduct business based on our 3 core values. Those values are "Be Humble", "Stay Hungry", "Live Smart". Even though we strive to achieve those values in our personal endeavors, we also strive to achieve them in our team mentality. Speaking from the point of view of a manager, I want everyone on our team to succeed and improve not only from a career perspective, but from a personal one as well. I care about everyone that works here and am willing to help each and every one of them in any way I can. I strive to make sure everyone is excited and enjoys coming to work every day. I came from a company that I was with for 20+ years and was very nervous about making the decision to part ways and take that next step in my career. I was leaving behind career and personal relationships that I built with many of my colleagues for more than a decade and thought I may not find strong bonds like that again. I was definitely wrong with that mentality! I immediately felt like part of the team and started building bonds with my new colleagues and co-workers and couldn't be happier in making that decision to take the leap. From day one here at RLS, I have felt like a part of the team and that my opinion/ideas matter and are taken into consideration. I know I'm not the smartest person, but just the fact that my superiors listen to the ideas that I bring forth and actually take them into consideration means more than you can imagine. Not only does that mean a lot to me personally, but it also gives me the motivation to make sure my employees feel the same way. I want them to make sure they feel like they have a voice and are heard. My door and ears are always open to them, and nothing is too small to discuss. They are the ones on the floor performing the jobs which help us achieve those daily/monthly/yearly goals and their opinions and ideas matter just as much as mine. I started in those very same positions they are currently in, and I want to make sure they know that they have a voice. This team mentality can be found in each and every one of the RLS Logistics locations. This is the mindset that has contributed to the strength of RLS and helped with the continued growth. I truly couldn't be happier with the decision I made and the opportunity that RLS Logistics has given me to move and grow in my career and I look forward to helping each and every one here achieve their goals and dreams in any way I can.
