Pros
Some great people work in this organisation who deliver some great initiatives to engage customers and drive business. Very stable, mid-performance, many benefits for employees and lots of opportunity to move around within the business, even to different countries.
Cons
Tends to be very inward looking using terminology that means nothing to customers - reflective of old traditional values of the business. Recent reorganisation aims to change that and develop a customer focussed high performance culture but has largely overlooked individuals outside the UK heartland and failed to address the shortcomings in supplier relationships. No tangible link between compensation and performance. Tends to have an 'adult-child' philosophy to its employees which can feel stifling. Despite a clear strategy internally, still not clear about their identity externally, trying to sell everything to everyone rather than clear target markets and customers.
