Pros
The people at TMP are truly a wonderful group to work with. In account service, our role is essentially solving our clients challenges on a daily basis, and knowing that there is a strong bench of people working together to achieve this counts for a lot. I love the people that i work with, whether that's my team in account service, the creative team, digital project managers, digital strategists etc. It's a special group of people. We have a fantastic client base. I've worked with - and continue to work with - such a breadth of clients which means that i'm continually learning about new industries, media, ways of working etc, and also getting to work with new people across our agency. It is very difficult to get bored in this role, as each day brings a completely different task or challenge to the one before. It's an exciting time to work here. There are a lot of changes taking place at the moment - from moving to a brand new office space, to a new RVP for Chicago Account Services. All these factors make me feel like TMP is moving in a very positive direction. Development is on Management's radar more than ever before and new account wins means the team is continuing to expand and allowing more development opportunities.
Cons
It can be frustrating to get things done. It can sometimes feel like a challenge to get to the right solution at TMP - knowing who to go to, what forms / processes to adhere to, and then actually getting everyone on board to help push to the right solution. This definitely gets easier over time, however always seems to lengthen the process. Accountability. As Account Service are client facing, it can feel like accountability / responsibility from other departments is lacking in instances. Developing reports, understanding / knowledge of client objectives, quality of work is inconsistent by team. Where the situation allows, it's helpful for each TMP team member to be engaged and fully briefed on each client and their objectives. And ultimately will deliver a better output for our client.
