Pros

$50 monthly cell phone reimbursement

Cons

HR does not classify paralegals as non-exempt. Paralegals be warned that this company will classify you as exempt - a salaried position. In California paralegals are supposed to be classified as non-exempt, meaning that they should get overtime pay. But RP will wrongly classify you as exempt to avoid paying OT. Not only will they give you the wrong classification but they will also offer very low pay even with 20+ years of experience. Read the labor laws, paralegals should be classified as non-exempt due to being supervised by attorneys and not having the ability to make decisions and give legal opinions. Every law firm and company I’ve worked for had correctly classified paralegals as non-exempt. If you get hired at RP, insist that you be classified as non-exempt.
