Pros

If you are an entry level engineer, decent pay but get used to working long hours without extra pay.

Cons

A culture of micro-management with very little technology to automate processes. Get to like Excel reports on a very regular basis. If you are not 24/7 engaged with the business, you will not be there very long.

We appreciate your comments and your service to Rain Bird. As you point out, if you like your work to be challenging, you will like working at Rain Bird. Our most successful employees do not think of this as a 9-to-5 job; they are always thinking of new and better solutions for our customers. However, as a family-owned business, we encourage and promote prioritization and a healthy separation of work and family time. If you would like to continue this discussion, please do not hesitate to contact me at employeefeedback@rainbird.com.

Pros

Lots of freedom and independence, not much micro management, can come up with cool ideas.

Cons

Hard to advance, people stay in their spots for a long time, remote employees excluded from advancement in general. Benefits are bad, health care terrible. 401k match is weak
