Learning to take control of your own career and life because very few at Rain Bird will do it for you. Rain Bird hires tremendously talented people who are usually very hard workers.
Cons
Never knowing if you are going to be around next week regardless of how you are performing. Senior staff that is out of touch with its employees, customers and markets. Rain Bird is a highly political environment. The senior staff follows the president's direction and seldom questions or challenges his assumptions and positions. Those who do are usually not around very long. The tremendously talented people that Rain Bird does hire seldom stick around for very long. If they do, by the time they make it to Senior staff they have started to "drink the Kool-Aid."
