Pros
Nice location (Tucson) and competitive starting pay. Rain Bird hires top notch people from other industries (unfortunately, senior management prevents these high performing individuals from making the changes needed to improve the company).
Cons
Complete absence of information sharing from senior management; fear-based decision making by senior management; inefficient and unproductive organization structure. Turnover is unlike any company I have ever seen. As a result, there are few people at Rain Bird who have enough experience to understand the customers and products. Sales and product manager turnover is so high that customers frequently joke with new hires whether they think they'll be at the company for more than 2 years. Most won't.
