The company is going in a predictable direction after corporate take-over. - Business Operations Manager Raising Cane's Employee Review

Pros

*Higher management commands competitive compensation. *The employees/crew members are for the most part great to work with. *The business has the capacity to be such a great environment if run in a fair manner. *Holidays paid for Managers. *Simple menu and standards. *Used to be the standard for other restaurants to follow.

Cons

* Too much intervention from leadership that can’t even run a shift, but can tell you how you should be doing it. *Predatory practices regarding promotions from within, regardless of tenure or ability, the employee has zero ability to affect pay structure. Made to feel if they don’t accept the “offer letter” they will be passed up immediately. Just call it a Compensation Mandate or Non-Negotiable Compensation Structure. *Expectations from leadership become more and more unrealistic and stringent to the point of oppressive. *Documentation structure is inhuman and never resets after any period of time, regardless of tenure. And separation can make you non-rehireable in perpetuity regardless of the severity of the infraction. *Certain parties are able to function without any real oversight or consequence to their actions, regardless of how intolerable. * Camera Audits are performed so much that it creates an atmosphere of paranoia and backstabbing is encouraged. * Customer Complaints are slanted against the locations, enabling habitual complainers to be rewarded. * Area leaders can be tyrannical individuals that care about things that do not relate to the success of the business. Like race, beliefs, and how a person looks. * Leadership is like a fraternal club and functions to hold certain people back. * Has become more of a soulless corporate entity in how it handles itself rather than the quirky and fun place it used to be, where you can have fun and work hard. * Long hours, late shifts. And they are trying to stay open even longer. * Terrible work/life balance and high strain on mental health.

Pros

-Fellow peers are often lovely to be around and helpful. -3 of 10 managers at my store are genuinely nice. -Flexible scheduling. -Our regular customers are very nice. -Pay is decent. -Easy work, even when busy. (Although it can be stressful from time to time.

Cons

-Only 50% off meals for crew. -Favoritism of crew members by management is abundant. -Bad hours, they keep shifts short if you aren't favorited. -They rely on the majority of their crew being teenagers and not knowing their rights. -Crew is often refused breaks when upper-management visits. (They will comp meals if you ask, but if you don't they will try to get away without it.) -Certain managers constantly berate and belittle crew members. -Because the company is growing more corporate and profit focused, it is becoming less focused on doing right by the crew and treating them well. -Everything has become more and more about penny-pushing and overzealous metrics. -The company likes to portray themselves as being crew-focused and wanting to support the little guy, but that is not how they actually conduct themselves in the treatment of their team.
