Pros
Great way to work on or start your clinical skills and some administration skills as well. Most of the providers are super nice and not involved in the drama of some of the other nurses and providers. The overall staff does come together and work as a team. Whenever you need help or get stuck on something, someone will always offer to help. Set hours and scheduled for 40 hours. No weekends or overtime. They offer HSA/FSA credit monthly if you are covered outside of the company benefits. Everyone is really easy to talk too. Patient care is a major priority and it is wonderful to see the providers truly care about their patients with not just actions during visits but having their nurses or themselves reaching out to the patient for check-ups.
Cons
You do everything, messages, refills, nurse calls and some referrals. Work schedule and once Perm. you have to have PTO to have days/time off. Their benefits packages for a family are at a ridiculous rate. Refuses to pay their employees a higher rate even though they do more than one job. No room for advancement. Do not expect much from both the directors because one of the providers is in charge and what they say goes so if you're not favored be prepared. There is no motivation for personal improvement by the company. They offer no assistance in obtaining certifications/degrees. No bonuses or any opportunity for overtime for more employees. Nothing told is kept between staff or to directors. Some discussions are not private or low toned and professional when should be.
