Pros

Met a few nice people and made some good contacts Got the company to pay for some education and certification which was good for the resume Reasonable hours for me, many coworkers did not share this Decent severance when they lay you off if you make enough and are able to make it 5 or more years Good vacation and time off Discount if you like the clothes

Cons

Limited to no upward mobility and minimal cost of living raises if any Incredible amount of layers of management making it impossible to get things done and constant useless meetings Management who will take credit for everything you do and give you no reward or even recognition other than a pat on the back and more work There's a cabal of long term upper management, vp's and directors who are inept and incompetent in their jobs, yet make outrageous money and will NEVER leave or be laid off like the rest of the workers Horrible infrastructure Incredibly cheap company, rarely ever sprung for lunch, drinks or any kind of perk that most companies do. Even down to the cheapest coffee they could get for the kitchen. No break room or place to eat lunch. Didn't even have coffee at most mandatory rah-rah meetings Zero corporate culture unless you're in the cabal yet they expect you to drink the Kool-Aid Job security is minimal, constantly reminded that you are replaceable

Pros

Employees enjoy comprehensive welfare programs and a generally favorable working environment.

Cons

The decision-making process can be overly top-down, often disregarding the professional dignity of the employees.

Pros

Discounted coffee, insurance, some hardworking co workers.

Cons

The first West Coast location of Ralph’s Coffee Newport Beach is the worst place I've ever worked. Under the management of David Peterson, people work short-staffed very often, and his working style is very passive, and his timing is terrible. I don't know why they made him manager without proven experience and a lack of leadership. Chronic understaffing paired with a manager who avoids weekends, holidays, and difficult conversations creates a compounding problem staff burnout rises, morale drops, and unaddressed poor performers make things worse for everyone else. The irony is that understaffing often ends up costing the business more through overtime, turnover, and lost productivity than fixing it would but he they never try to fix it.
