Pros
Unexpectedly a great career starter; once you’re hired there is in depth training and ample support from management. Staff and management are extremely competent and good natured so they are easy and enjoyable to work with. The company also has honest and transparent values and often shows appreciation to employees with small rewards or incentives. This is the only place I’ve worked that actually tries to first promote from within before hiring people externally. Promotional positions are routinely posted and operators are encouraged to apply and move up in the company. Wages also have a decent base salary with raises that are based on your performance, and there are opportunities for overtime. There are also benefits like paid wellness time, and they promote a healthy lifestyle by giving monetary incentives for exercising since the job is so sedentary. Overall a very positive work environment and you are given all the tools and support needed to succeed.
Cons
If you have poor time management this may not be the place for you. Attendance is actually extremely important, and calling out, or being late routinely will be a one way ticket out the door. This can be a challenge for some as it does take awhile to accumulate enough PTO to take a decent vacation. The work can also be monotonous so if you’re someone who gets burnt out quickly with that, this is probably not a good fit.
