Pros
- Good gamer benefits e.g. gaming allowance, cool gaming accessories, laptop etc. - Generally flat culture within the team. Easy to communicate and learn from each other. - Many like-minded gamer, people are generally nice and kind. - Atmosphere is more relaxed and informal. - Open to using new tools and tech stack.
Cons
- Requirements are broad making it hard to specialize in one area. - Hard to find a domain expert in technical field to learn from. - Timeline is not managed well resulting in many poorly written code just to make it for the timeline. - Barely any reward after completing big project on tight timeline + base pay is not competitive. - Learning taper off and tasks become repetitive.
